Out for a walk

Out for a walk today to look at the old church. Here is a better picture of it.

Isabella had a great time looking around there too.

Here is the pub that is in the village. It's called The George and was built, I think, in the 1500's sometime. Great gourmet food!

A couple of nice houses in the village on main street.

Isabella says that Strawberry Shortcake lives in the pink house below. I think it may be where the people live who bring us our daily milk. There are always crates with empty milk bottles out front.

Isabella walking behind our house on one of the public footpaths.

Fish 'n Chips

Hi Everyone! We had our first fish and chips experience last week. It was so greasy (but good) that I told Mark we should only eat it once a month. But here we are, not even a week later, eating it again. They must put something addictive in it--oh yeah, the grease! Here are a few pictures...

Arrival!

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that we have arrived safe and sound. Here is a picture of our rental house here. It's very spacious and can hold all of the junk we've accumlated thus far. And still more stuff is on the way!

Here is Mark's other baby, the PT Cruiser. Heaven forbid I should track a little mud into it or Isabella get cracker crumbs in there. If we drive it into London, we're going to pick up tourists and charge fares--I can imagine it being mistaken for a London cabbie.

Here is a view of the backyard. Lots of farmland in the distance. There is also a small creek that runs by the house that is a little ways down the hill.

This is the steeple of the church that is a few lots over from our house. The locals say it is about 1000 years old. Isabella can see the steeple from her window and she insists that it is a castle. When I say, "Are you sure it's not a church?" She says, "No. It's a castle." Who am I to argue with a two-year old?

More pictures to follow soon!
